Kigezi Orphans Project, in partnership with Rukuura Safaris, empowers vulnerable communities in South Western Uganda through sustainable coffee farming, environmental conservation, and community-based tourism — transforming livelihoods while protecting nature and funding education for orphaned and vulnerable children.
We strive for community development by empowering orphans and vulnerable communities through sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, access to affordable healthcare services, quality education, skill development through games and sports.
• Increased professionalism through organized group leadership structures and adoption of improved modern farming practices among members and coffee growers through community engagement and trainings. • Increased linkage and access to service providers for quality inputs and access to microfinance. • Promoting collective production and marketing through organized farmers groups/associations and co-operatives. • Increased adoption of sustainable land management technologies for enhanced Agrifood systems and sustainable coffee value chain development.
