Millions of children in the United States struggle with healthy eating, poor nutrition and eating disorders. Educators and parents of these children also struggle to instill healthy eating habits often relying on ineffective, short term solutions. At CeeVlo, we are building a comprehensive physical product with nutritional benefits alongside a software tool meant for children ages 1-12, while also supporting those with eating disorders and nutritional gaps. Combining psychology, technology, sensory stimulation and nutrition we want to be an all encompassing solution to teach children healthy nutrition.
Inspired by a mother and elementary school teacher, CeeVlo was created to solve a problem that many children across the United States face. Millions of children in the United States struggle with healthy eating, poor nutrition and eating disorders. According to the CDC, 1 in 5 children that attend schools in the United States are obese. Educators and parents of these children also struggle to instill healthy eating habits often relying on ineffective, short term solutions. Each year children across the United States receive 8 hours of nutrition education while they need 40 hours per year. Despite rising childhood health challenges, required nutrition education in U.S. schools has declined over the past two decades, signaling a systemic gap in early health education. At CeeVlo, we are building a comprehensive physical toy product alongside a software tool meant for children ages 1-12, while also supporting those with eating disorders and nutritional gaps. Combining psychology, technology, sensory stimulation and nutrition we want to be an all encompassing solution to teach children healthy nutrition. We are positioning ourselves in the middle of two rapidly growing industries, children's toys and nutrition, with a mission of guiding as many children as we can to a safe and healthy relationship with food.
We would like to have children more culturally aware as well as nutritionally aware of the foods they are eating.
