Our World 2050 is a high-impact, global initiative empowering 1 million children worldwide to imagine and create their version of a sustainable future by 2050. By amplifying children’s voices and unlocking their imagination and creativity, we are building a powerful movement that transforms ideas into action for a sustainable, inclusive and livable world. Our mission is to engage and empower children worldwide to share their dreams, hopes, and ideas for the future – and help them shape and share their visions in ways that inspire action. We educate and empower, we create global conversations, we collect and analyze children’s perspectives, and we communicate their voices to decision-makers and communities so that their hopes and ideas can become a driving force for a more sustainable future.
Our World 2050 is designed to empower one million children worldwide to imagine and express bold visions for a sustainable future. By giving children a voice, space for creativity, and tools to process climate emotions, the initiative contributes to systemic change across several UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 – Quality Education: Equipping children with creative and emotional tools to engage with the climate crisis, while fostering critical thinking, imagination, and agency. SDG 13 – Climate Action: Inspiring climate awareness and resilience among the next generation and encouraging collective responsibility. SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being: Supporting children’s mental health and emotional resilience in the face of eco-anxiety and climate-related stress. SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities: Creating inclusive opportunities for children across geographies, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds to be heard equally. SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: Strengthening civic participation and trust in democratic processes by cultivating children’s sense of agency and voice. SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Building a global coalition of educators, NGOs, businesses, and governments to amplify children’s visions and turn them into shared inspiration for action. Global Impact Vision By 2050, Our World 2050 aims not only to have amplified the voices of one million children, but to have created a cultural shift: where the imagination and perspectives of the next generation are recognized as a vital driver for sustainability, innovation, and collective hope.
What they need right now
The single most urgent need for Our World 2050 right now is funding. While we have successfully validated global interest—garnering support from NGOs, scientists, educators, cultural leaders, and establishing our Youth Ambassador Corps—we lack the financial resources to turn this momentum into action. To launch the pilot phase (first 3.5 years), we need to raise USD 4 million. This will enable us to build the core team, run the first global youth campaigns, train facilitators, and showcase children’s visions of a sustainable future on the world stage. Without this seed funding, we risk losing the extraordinary trust and enthusiasm we’ve already generated. With it, we can unlock a movement that empowers millions of young people worldwide to imagine and shape a better future.
