An ask from a YC team, our next cohort and Marketplace Night

Plus Sam Resnick of Private Axis, Ryan Levychin, Ilona Koti's document intelligence pilots and five Propel dates through Dec 1

November 4, 2026

This is a long one, but it's really good. Some of these take as long as 14 hours to put together, not counting all the coordination with community members, so I'd love for you to read the whole thing.

A YC company asked me for introductions to engineering teams building with coding agents. If that's your team, reply with what you're building and a link, and I'll check with both sides first. Below, you can also apply to the next Propel cohort or request a provider spot at Marketplace Night on Dec 1.

Propel has hosted 140+ events since 2025.

Propel Earth highlights: a YC ask for agent-first engineering teams, applications for the next Propel cohort, and Marketplace Night on Dec 1.

Short on time? Tap what fits

Post an ask to our network at propel.earth and we share it with our newsletter of about 14,000 readers and members in 20+ countries. For example, if you need help hiring, our community can introduce you to candidates through referral-based hiring. Propel is also a venture studio for early-stage teams, and we support later-stage teams with strategic referrals and introductions to our service-provider network. I check with both sides before making an introduction.

beehiiv grew from $2 million to $3 million in monthly recurring revenue in nine months. See Tyler Denk’s post. I've been really enjoying using beehiiv and have been especially impressed with their community and monetization features, so I'm not surprised to see their success.

I've been reading the tweets of beehiiv's founder, Tyler Denk, and I've been super impressed. Congrats to beehiiv on crossing $3 million in MRR.

Yes, that Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He has a newsletter on beehiiv. So do Codie Sanchez, Jay Shetty, David Begnaud, Colin & Samir, and Joanna Stern.

They could publish just about anywhere. They chose beehiiv to build a direct connection with the people who want to hear from them most. And you can do the same, whether you’re world-famous or just at the start of your plan for world domination.

An ask from a YC team

A YC company builds AI tools for software development. They want to meet engineering teams already shipping with coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. If that's your team, or you know one, introduce them below and I'll make a double opt-in intro.

Meet Sam Resnick of Private Axis

I met Sam Resnick of Private Axis at SeedLegals Power Hours and introduced him to the Propel community. He’s now having great conversations in real estate. If you’d like an introduction to Sam, reply and tell me what you’re working on.

Sam works in global capital markets and facilitates large real estate deals through Private Axis, which he describes as a deal-flow funnel for Eyzenberg. He says the team has placed billions of dollars in capital and deploys capital from internal funds. In our correspondence, we discussed equity checks from $15 million, debt from $10 million, and projects from $30 million to $40 million and up.

Power Hours with Anthony Rose

At Power Hours on October 29 at The Wilson, founders signed up for one-on-one office hours with Anthony Rose of SeedLegals. We hosted the event with SeedLegals and Wayo. Anthony said he loved the format and the enthusiasm of the founders who joined.

Planning a raise? Post your fundraising question at https://propel.earth so we can share it with the community. The image below shows the October 29 event and its original office-hours schedule.

Meet Ryan Levychin of Aurelian Labs

Ryan Levychin is Principal, Capital Markets at Aurelian Labs in New York. His work brings together private markets, venture and technology, and his Luma profile lists 15 events hosted. He’s listed as a host for both events below. If you’d like to meet Ryan, tell me who you are and why. Ryan is cohosting the November 19 Family Office Mixer with me.

This is the showcase for our Innovation in Public cohort, with up to six companies pitching. We delayed Demo Day to the end of November to give teams more time.

Marketplace Night

Propel Earth graphic titled “Marketplace Night,” with three connected circles labeled Offer, Need and Match and the line “A room for useful connections.”

Tuesday, Dec 1, 6 to 9pm ET. The location is shared with registrants.

Marketplace Night puts founders who each bring one current need in conversation with providers who come ready to say what they offer and who they serve. The evening is planned as a short welcome, focused conversations, a break, open time to keep talking, and a close, and the plan may adjust to fit the final group. Founders and providers attend free, and a Featured Provider ticket is $200 and includes a designated table. Registration requires approval, and sales and introductions are not guaranteed.

Looking for a systems designer for Propel

I’m looking for a systems designer who can help me map out how Propel coordinates people and projects. I want to move beyond introductions and build a clear system for intake, follow-ups and project management, so people can move from a need to a real outcome without everything depending on me. If you’ve designed systems for human coordination, I’d like to hear from you through the ask below.

Meet Dr. Ilona Naomi Koti of Azariel AI

Portrait of Dr. Ilona Naomi Koti, founder of Azariel AI.

Dr. Ilona Naomi Koti is building Azariel AI with a current focus on EchoVault, a governed document intelligence layer. She’s looking for paid pilot partners with a real business problem to solve and a useful outcome in mind. Each pilot is $10,000, with scope and timing agreed directly with Ilona. She hopes to build a case study from the work, with the partner’s permission.

Need help running operations?

Oceans Talent logo

Oceans Talent places full-time, 40-hour-a-week operators based in Sri Lanka across admin and operations, finance and marketing, in roles from project management to bookkeeping. Oceans told me its most requested option, EA+, takes people from professional backgrounds outside assistant work and trains them in admin and operations, and reported five to ten years of experience for its hires.

Each person works within a managed pod with a pod leader who coaches them, plus a dedicated success specialist you can go to about performance. Oceans told me it vets and background-checks the people it places and will rematch at no charge if someone isn’t a fit. If that sounds like what you need, tell me what you would like to hand off.

Apply to the next Propel cohort

We’re planning our next Propel cohort. A team from a previous Propel cohort raised $100,000 directly after Demo Day, has found more investors since, and grew from 100,000 to 300,000 users. If you’re building something and want to join the next group, apply below.
