The Shelter Island Conference. 100 people, one table, three days at The Ram's Head Inn. Scott Page of Pink Floyd plays through Thursday's dinner. Russell Brand keynotes and leads the roundtable. Patrick Byrne speaks. Filmed roundtables, podcast sessions and panels on technology, money, health, energy and national security.

SATURDAY 22 AUGUST · SOUTHAMPTON
Hamptons Fashion Week. Noon to 4 at the Southampton Inn is a free floor of brands, a wellness bar and culinary sets from DJ Chef. The runway at 4 is headlined by Jeffrey Banks, then the red carpet and the after party. 329 people are registered.
Seven runway tickets left at $250. The free floor has 34 of 280 spots open and closes when it fills.
Both are rooms you buy into because of who else is standing there. If what you want is a stage and an audience, neither is that.

Richie Hosein
Richie Hosein is a host on both. Founder and chief executive of FreeHealth.ai, president of the board of the Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation, and the man behind Capital and Connection, which is the calendar Shelter Island now sits on.
The rest of his season, all of it out east: the Family Office and Investor Open, a pro-am before the US Open, the La Martina Polo Challenge, and the Global Healthcare Leaders Award. That is the standard he runs a room at.
I would go to anything he puts his name on, and I do not say that about many people.

In June 1947 a small circle of physicists met at this inn, argued for three days with no press in the room, and the field came out of it reorganized. Free and Equal is borrowing the format on purpose. 100 guests, one table, no convention hall. Propel Earth is a host and is bringing a delegation. Shelter Island is its own island and the last leg is a ferry, so leave more time than the map says.
Wednesday. Cocktails in the garden at 4. The Island Roundtable at 6, opened by Dr. Ron Paul on video and led by Joe From Texas, with Sheriff Richard Mack, Michael Terpin, Patrick Byrne and Christina Tobin at the table. Dinner at 7:30, 100 covers, sommelier paired wines.
Thursday. Podcast sessions from 10 with a Russell Brand keynote. Zach Bush MD by livestream at 1. Patrick Byrne live at 4 on disrupting the deep state. The Hon. David Walker, former Comptroller General of the United States, at 4:30. A sunset cruise on a 43 foot Pardo at 5:30. The roundtable again at 7, led by Brand. Dinner at 8:30, and Scott Page plays it. He toured with Pink Floyd on A Momentary Lapse of Reason and has been on a stage with most of the people you would want him to have been.
The conference is a Free and Equal Elections Foundation event, a 501(c)(3), and the roundtable is politically outspoken. Worth knowing before you book.

Southampton Inn, 91 Hill Street. The daytime floor is free, noon to 4, though the hosts approve each one by hand, so request a spot today if you want it Saturday. 246 of the 280 free spots are taken.
The runway at 4 is the paid half. Jeffrey Banks headlines: two Coty Awards, trained under Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, and a longstanding member of the CFDA executive board. George Wayne, who wrote Vanity Fair's celebrity questionnaire for years, works the red carpet.

Dee Rivera produces this through DCG Media Group. She came through Propel's own St. Valentine's Fashion Showcase in February and stayed, and she already owned Southampton, so we co-hosted rather than renting an audience. That is the same play we are running on Shelter Island.
